Join us for a trip to the stunning Andy Romano Beachfront Park in Daytona Beach’s north end. This vacation destination is famous for its natural parks, gardens, historic sites, and a variety of dining options. But before we relax at the beach, we will stop by The Ponce Inlet Lighthouse & Museum, and the Constance D. Hunter Historic Pacetti Hotel Museum.

Beach Gear

Ormond Beach Rentals will set up our chairs and umbrellas.  Why not free yourself from dragging along your chairs and umbrellas and instead have them waiting for you on the beach?

$40 a set; includes 2 lounge chairs, 1 umbrella, a table & set up.  The gratuity is left up to you.

Single lounge chair $15; umbrella $30

At the bottom of your reservation form please indicate if you would like beach gear and include your payment with your reservation.

Our buses will be parked across the street from the Pavilion so that you can load your beach gear after 4:00pm and head to dinner on foot.  They are all close by.

This historic stop is a step into the past, offering a glimpse into Florida's maritime and social heritage. Constructed in 1887, the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse has guided mariners along Florida’s coast for more than 135 years.  And we know from past experience that our Beachcombers love a good lighthouse!

You could instead hand your addressed envelope to a person at the counter at Safe Ship in Colony Plaza, saving you the stamp and ensure its timely arrival.

There are two areas to explore - the Inlet Light Station and the Pacetti Hotel Museum.  If anyone is brave enough, you may want to climb the 203 steps to the top of the lighthouse, the tallest in Florida, for some stunning views. We will spend a couple of hours on the grounds so you’ll have time to take it all in.  Of course, there is a gift shop on the grounds, too.   Then we will head to the beach around 12:30 pm. arriving around 1 pm. Feel free to bring along a sandwich to enjoy on the bus, on the lighthouse grounds or visit one of the two restaurants located just a minute away from the lighthouse grounds. You can find more information about the lighthouse on their website www.ponceinlet.org.

We have included the Light Station cost in your trip fee.  The Pacetti Hotel Museum is being offered as an option should you want to explore it at $6.00 per person.

If you decide to pass on the Pacetti Hotel, you may want to grab lunch at one of the two restaurants at the Inlet.

So your options are:

Bring your lunch and tour both the Light Station and Pacetti Hotel Museum.  You can have lunch on the 30 minute ride back to the beach….or on the beach.  (No food or drink is allowed on the Lighthouse grounds.)

Or….

You’ll have time to tour the Light Station and then grab a quick bite at one of the two nearby restaurants.

Return to The Villages:

Be Aboard the bus by 6:00pm for our departure back to The Villages.
